Discussions regarding the development of Morrowind Crafting 3.0 (Tamriel Rebuilt edition)

Morrowind Crafting 3.0 is alive and well.

Postby Drac » Fri Aug 23, 2019 2:26 am

This thread will be for showing the progress of Morrowind Crafting 3.0.

Why has it been so long? There were some issues with the way that TR creates releases, which caused errors to show up in Crafting; this stopped us for some time, but recent developments allow us to overcome this issue. Also, recent talks with some of the TR developers have introduced an element of cooperation between both development teams.

In short, we're back, we're on and we're driving full speed ahead. A sampe or two of the new user interface is viewable here (in another thread within this forum): http://denina.fliggerty.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=127&p=1344#p1344.

Expect further notes to follow. :}

I'm so glad you're working on this again. It's looking good. Looking forward to testing. Would love to see more pics when you can supply them.

Then pics there shall be.

Thus far we have the mechanics of the fletching kit, spinning wheel, cordage wheel, woodworking kit, loom, sewing kit, jeweller's kit, pottery wheel, leather/resin toolkit, smelter, anvil (both for smithing *and* scrapping of armor and weapons), shears and the metalworking kits completed, each with at least a few 'recipes' to allow us to test. We still need to work upon the masonry tools, cookfire (and cooking in general), the cutting board (part of cooking; you can make sandwiches, grind out sausage, and more upon this), and the kegstands (and expand their capabilities a bit).

In addition, we are still working to see if the making of soul gems will be feasible (and believable), and after all of this, need to work upon in-game books for the different skills. Of course, we will also be adding most of what craftable items are new in Tamriel Rebuilt as well.

The travelling merchants are complete, the stone quarry is done, and we'e a few thoughts as to East Empire company buyers that might send the player on mini-quests to come up with a certain number of some particular item before a short time (a day or four) passes.

There is still more, but time to get back to work. 8{P}

Given a little creativity and planning, you can even design your own furnishings. This is (soon to be) Arissi's alchemy lab-station, made with carefully sized-and-placed pieces.
